در گفت‌وگو با روابط‌عمومی فدراسیون بوکس، اظهار کرد:
در این مدت که اینجا بودم ورزشکاران مختلفی را دیدم. اکنون نزدیک ۲۰ بوکسور را در اردو داریم.
تورس افزود:
سه بوکسور تیم ملی جوانان که چندی پیش به مدال جهانی رسیده‌اند هم به اردو اضافه شده‌اند
و هر روز منسجم‌تر و بهتر کار می‌کنیم. در کل باید بگویم شرایط خوبی داریم.
تورس، بیان کرد: رسیدن به موفقیت آیتم‌های مختلفی دارد و تلاش می‌کنیم با حمایت‌های فدراسیون به نتایج خوبی دست پیدا کنیم
و بوکس ایران را در مسیر درستی قرار دهیم.
تورس این مربی باتجربه کوبایی بیان کرد:
در این مدت ارتباط خوبی با بوکسورها و همکارانم داشتم.
ما علاوه بر تیم، یک خانواده هستیم و باید کنار هم و متحد باشیم.
تورس توضیح داد:
منتظر اعلام زمان دقیق برگزاری مسابقات قهرمانی جهان هستیم.
اکنون تمرینات منظمی داریم تا با نظر فدراسیون بتوانیم در رویدادهای بین‌المللی حضور یافته و شرایط بوکسورها را بسنجیم.
تورس در پایان گفت:
تمام تلاش من این است تا در مسابقات مهم، به نتایجی که مدنظر است، دست یابیم.
